EWING — A man found sleeping in a bathroom in the township's municipal complex early Thursday was arrested on warrant charges after he fled the building, police said.
Sterling Brown, a 27-year-old Hamilton resident, was discovered by the maintenance crew around 5:25 a.m. in a bathroom on the town hall side of the building, Lt. Rocco Maruca said.
Brown ran out, but by then a police officer was able to run from headquarters on the other side of the building and chase him down, Maruca said.
Brown was arrested on an outstanding Hamilton Township criminal warrant, processed and taken to Hamilton police headquarters.
Ewing police do not know when or how Brown got in the municipal building.
