VINELAND — Graduates of the Cumberland County College Adult Basic Education program were recognized recently during a ceremony to mark their achievements.
Graduates from Vineland include: Jeffrye Arroyo Jr., Liza Cannon, Joanne Centeno, Russell Corathers Jr., Bree Ann Cruz, Jayke Echevarria, Mary Egbeh, Marisol Guadarrama, Nicholas Hartman, Natasha Hernandez, Elliot Jamison Jr., Allerique McFarland, Jamie Monroe, Aida Montalvo, Temika Pierce, Glyndali Rosario, Idaliz Santiago, Cecil Seymour, Jorge Torres and Matthew Wright.
Graduates from Millville include: Kimberley Ballurio, Wesley Bowleg Jr., James Brown Jr., Devon Downing, Jonathan Gray, Sabrina Lobel, Collin Moore, Kim Popolo and Raina Torres.
Graduates from Bridgeton include: Christopher Dickerson, Jordan Gonzalez, Tameka Hannah, Trinidad Ibarguen, Nadine McKenzie-Simpson, Andrew Thomas Jr. and Rupert Williams.
Other graduates include: Stephen Czekalski, Ashley Garrison, Timothy Keenan and Jack Sawyer of Pittsgrove, Qua'tiesha Ives and Kimberlie Millier of Newfield, Tiffany Ricketts of Dorothy, and Ervin Woods of Newtonville.
During the ceremony, Kimberley Ballurio, Russell Corathers Jr., Bree Ann Cruz, and Jack Sawyer were awarded two-year tuition scholarships to attend Cumberland County College for achieving the highest scores on their GED tests.
High school diploma equivalency classes at Cumberland County College are offered during the summer months.
Classes take place 9 a.m.-noon, or 1-4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, or Wednesday and Thursday. Limited evening classes are also held at the Vineland Public Library, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Students must attend a minimum of six hours per week, for ten weeks. A new location has been added to the program, and classes are now offered at the Port Norris Middle School on Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon.
