Celine Dion has been confirmed as the latest headliner of the British Summer Time (BST) gig series in London’s Hyde Park.
The Canadian singer joins a growing bill for the annual central London concerts, with Florence + Machine (July 13) and Robbie Williams (July 14) also confirmed as headliners so far. A co-headline slot by Bob Dylan and Neil Young has also been announced, although there were some initial complications with the latter’s involvement in the show.
Dion has today (January 22) been confirmed as the latest BST headliner, and she’ll play her only European live date of 2019 with the London show on Friday July 5.
Speaking about the show, the singer – who will become the biggest-selling artist to ever play at BST – remarked: “It’s my first time doing a show in beautiful Hyde Park…. I’m so excited. I love London, and it’s a great honour for me to be part of the Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park concerts.
“I can’t wait…. summertime in London, here we come!”
Tickets for Dion’s show will initially be made available during a special fan pre-sale, which commences tomorrow (January 23) at 9am. Another pre-sale, titled Barclaycard presents British Summer Time, will begin on Friday (January 25) at 9am, before general sale starts on January 29 at 9am.
