Paul McCartney to remarry at the venue where he married first wife Linda

He's set to wed Nancy Shevell at Marylebone Register Office

Paul McCartney is set to get married at the same venue where he married his first wife, Linda.

The former Beatle posted a notice with Westminster Council on September 14, meaning he can get hitched to fiancée Nancy Shevell at Marylebone Register Office on any date from September 30 onwards. They then have a year to hold the ceremony, reports Billboard.

The document sees McCartney listed as James Paul McCartney and his given occupation is ‘business executive’.

Marylebone Register Office was also chosen by fellow Beatle Ringo Starr and Liam Gallagher for their weddings. Alison Cathcart, Westminster City Council’s superintendent registrar, said:

Lots of couples get married here because of the venue’s reputation as a rock ‘n’ roll place to tie the knot and this ceremony will certainly continue that legacy.

McCartney married Linda Eastman at the London register office in 1969. She died in 1998 and McCartney went on to marry Heather Mills. They separated in 2006 and divorced in 2008.
