A road closure was in place in Nottingham city centre road because of a crash earlier today. Milton Street, which is near the Victoria Centre, was closed in both directions due to a road traffic collision, this afternoon (August 19), at around 2.10pm.
According to traffic officials, the road was shut off from Upper Parliament Street to A60 Mansfield Road. A number of Nottingham City Transport buses were affected by the incident and had to terminate and pick up at alternative bus stops as they couldn't serve the usual Victoria Centre Bus stops.
Shortly before 3pm, a Nottinghamshire Live reporter at the scene reported that the road appeared to be cleared and reopened. Inrix however, had been reporting that a road closure was still in place.

At around 2.10pm, Nottingham City Transport said: “There has been an RTC on Milton Street, Nottingham. Pink 28 & 30 and Orange 35 & 36 cannot serve their usual Victoria Centre stops.
These services are terminating & picking up at Burton Street, near to the Turtle Bay restaurant (down the side of the CornerHouse)”
NCT subsequently tweeted at 4.20pm that normal service had resumed.
Normal service resumes
Nottingham City Transport says services have returned to their normal routes and are now serving the Victoria Centra shops.
No details on the nature of the collision but judging by pictures from the scene it's not anticipated to have been serious.
