For the indigenous people in pre-Hispanic times, jade, known as ya'ax chich, represented life, fertility, and power. Guatemalan artisan Zandra Lorena Sajbin works with this ancestral stone, which showcases natural hues of black. She hand-carves the pendant of this necklace to feature a ring with faceted edges that gleam in the light. This necklace circles the neck with an adjustable strand of black cotton cord.

These earrings arrived yesterday and they are beautiful! I immediately put them on. With the hook closure on the back, they were difficult to unhook. And I had to bend the metal to open it up wider to be able to insert in my ear. Then I had trouble closing the clasp and then opening it again to take off. Im worried that bending the earring every time I wear them will weaken the integrity of the metal and they may break. The metal is very soft and pliable.

I wear this ring often, especially when I will be in an environment where I can network with like-minded souls.
