Cerapio Vallejo depicts row after row of mountains in tribute to his Andean homeland. Vallejo's preferred weaving technique, called kilin, is characterized by the uses of small, straight stitches. Although extra fabric and 15 days of hard work are required for kilin-produced rugs, the end result is an extraordinarily clear illustration. Vallejo achieves the rug's rich colors by using natural dyes.
Titled "Puesta de sol" in Spanish.

The rug "Sunset" is simply gorgeous. The knotting, the colouring, the layout of the imagery, the dimensions - everything is perfect. I travel a lot and have acquired rugs/carpets in many countries. This piece is beautiful and a great value. Sr. Vallejo is very talented.

I have purchased several similar runners when traveling, and this one seemed perfect for my new black dining table, except it is not very wide, so, compared to my other runners, so it looks a bit skimpy. It is also quite pricey.
