Ozzy new album...Patient Number 9

Post by Daehawk »

As someone in the comments said....in the 1970s Ozzy in his 20s rocked the world. Now in his 70s Ozzy rocks the 20s.

Him and Sharon are moving home to England. I fear this is the end of the Ozz man sooner rather than later. But Id love to see him rocking into his 90s and beyond. Alas he has many many health issues. Bless the mad man of rock and metal.

never got into Ozzy's solo career. this one has been getting good reviews, so i'll at least check out the two tracks with Tony Iommi on guitar

Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman were incredible albums right out of the gate. I never got into older Ozzy that much, but I'll check this one out to see him reteam with Iommi.

I love the older stuff enough...some masterful hits in there. But my favorite albums are Ultimate Sin and Ozzmosis.

I thought the album was embarrassing at the start of my listen, sounding like all the overproduced, commercialized Ozzy I've heard in the past 25 years. And it is that. But now I love it. Or maybe it's just hitting me differently after a joint. But there are songs here I'd listen to sober and probably not be ashamed of during the next 5-7 years. It's such an odd mix of modern and classic.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg
