Tulisa Contostavlos has opened up about her exit from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The star was voted off the ITV show following 17 days in the Australian jungle. However the N-Dubz singer, 36, soon raised concerns when she didn't appear on the spin-off show, Unpacked, and removed all traces of I'm A Celeb from her Instagram. She went on to leave Australia early and missed the show final.

In a post on Instagram, Tulisa revealed that she was feeling "overwhelmed" by her time in the jungle, and addressed ongoing "demons". She has now opened up more about her show exit, telling the Guardian: "I came out, still followed by cameras, all t**s and teeth, and it wasn't until I was on my own that I felt this introvert-overload."

"I was hyperventilating, crying. It was too much." She revealed that she questioned: "Is this about a fear I have of being in the spotlight? Or is the person I've become just not the kind of person that wants fame any more?", reports the Mirror.

After a hiatus from the spotlight for a decade following a tough time, the former X Factor judge said she was curious to see what life in the limelight would be like again.

She said: “I had a lot of fear surrounding exposure and I got to the point where I thought: ‘Am I holding on to this fear because of what people have done to me in the past? Am I letting other people change my perception of what my career is and could be?’ I didn’t want to feel that way any more.”

After her departure from the jungle and avoiding the show's spin-off show, Unpacked, it was reported that Tulisa had an argument with her best friend, Michelle McKenna, who had flown to Oz to greet her on the rope bridge. The singer denied this however, saying: "Absolutely no issue with my sis's posts, haven't argued with my best mate in over 10 years. We literally don't have arguments, they don't exist in our world. Only love. Same with my bro."

The singer also shared a video explaining her decision to remove all I'm A Celeb posts from her Instagram. Tulisa confessed she was an "introvert" and had felt "overwhelmed" after re-emerging to the world after weeks in the jungle. In a video message on Instagram, she explained: "I'm just doing a little video to clear a couple things up. Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening my friends went to bed.

"But because it's been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily. I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought, ‘Do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill.'

"You know, it's OK to feel a little bit overwhelmed. I've been out of the spotlight for a long time. I'm still trying to overcome those things. I've still got my little demons."

However on the I'm A Celebrity: Coming Out show, Tulisa was seen saying: "I said I was going to come out a different person but I don't feel different, I feel more strong in who I am."

She was also seen sharing a message with her campmates in a video message, saying: “Hello everybody, I’m so proud of you all, you’ve absolutely smashed it, now I want you to go and eat yourselves into an oblivion.

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be there so have a big old drink for me. I love you lots like jelly tots and I will see you soon.”
