10 of the best discontinued chocolate bars that we are craving hard
Flakes to dust, wafers with friends, why do all good bars come to an end? We take a look back at some of the best discontinued chocolates.
We all have a favourite chocolate bar. The specific foil-wrapped treat we dive for in the supermarket queue when we are feeling down, up or anywhere in between.
However, over the years some of us have suffered the shattering blow of having our go-to bar discontinued. Forlorn and craving-crazed, we’ve tried to replace the bar-shaped hole in our lives by munching on other sweetened cocoa snacks.
We’ve guzzled boxes of the brown stuff, gnawed cubes close in consistency or composition and nibbled nasty imitations. But they will never be the same.
There are many bars that have been cleaned out of the supermarkets and shelved from production. Still, they remain forever in our hearts, melting slowly from our burning longing.
Here are some of the late, great chocolate bars that we have sadly lost...
Time Out
Originally sold under the tag line 'the wafer break with a layer of flake' this hybrid delicious choc was discontinued back in 2016. But its not all tragedy, as it was replaced with a single bar version called Time Out Wafer, however we want it back in a substantial size!

Discontinued in 2018, Flake Snow was a crumbley flaked white chocolate encased in a milk chocolate. Think Twirl, but filled with white chocolate. Yum!

Caramac is a caramel flavoured bar and KitKat is what we have when 'we have a break'. They are both manufactured by Nestle and in 2005 and 2007 this delicious combination bar was on sale... Take us back!

A bit like Malteasers but instead they are solid balls of Dairy Milk chocolate. The perfect size and shape for sucking as they melt. RIP.
