QUINCY – Police say they will continue to investigate the source of a threatening phone call that had classrooms of Quincy High School evacuated Tuesday as officers and police dogs searched for a possible bomb.

Students and staff were allowed back into classrooms at about 10 a.m. after police and their bomb sniffing dogs went room to room looking for a potential threat. Police dogs had cleared the gym as a gathering place for students who were still being evacuated from their classrooms as of 9:30 a.m., Quincy Sgt. Karyn Barkas said.

At 10 a.m., the department said classrooms had been cleared and no bomb found.

"Police will continue to investigate the origin of the phone call," a Facebook post read.

The school was evacuated again around 2 p.m. Tuesday due to a second threat. After school activities were canceled for the day.
