Actor, director, producer and author Henry Winkler will make an appearance at the Pullo Center in York this Monday.
Winkler is most well-known for his role on the long-running sitcom “Happy Days,” where he played Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, better known as Fonzie. Winkler portrayed the loveable tough guy, who could summon adoring girls with a snap of his fingers and get jukeboxes to play with a simple rap of his knuckles. Heyyyyy!
Post- “Happy Days,” Winkler moved on to other career aspirations, including serving as producer for programs such as “MacGuyver” and “Hollywood Squares,” directing several films, and appearing in cameos and supporting roles in such films and TV series as “The Waterboy,” “Arrested Development,” and currently on USA’s series “Royal Pains.”
In 2003, Winkler began writing a series of children’s novels, focusing on Hank Zipzer. Inspired by his own struggle with school as a youth, the books have appeared on both the New York Times and Los Angeles Times best-sellers lists.
