GMA-7 has released an updated line-up of its upcoming TV shows and series for the year 2023.
The list ranges from prime-time and afternoon dramas, reality shows, Asian series, Pinoy and Hollywood movies, and news and public affairs programs.
Also on the list are those already airing teasers and are soon to debut on television.
PRIME-TIME SHOWS
First on the list is the much anticipated live-action adaptation of Voltes V: Legacy top-billed by Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho.
Its first full trailer released on December 31, 2022, shows the main cast members in full costume as they join forces to defend Earth from the Boazanian invasion.
The mega trailer of Voltes V: Legacy also reveals cast members like Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Martin del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Epy Quizon, Carlo Gonzales, Gabby Eigenmann, and Elle Villanueva.
Meanwhile, Kapuso teen love team Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay together are bringing all the kilig in LUV IS: Caught in His Arms. They are joined by the Sparkada boys, namely, Sean Lucas, Vince Maristela, Raheel Bhyria, and Michael Sager.
Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali are set to headline The Write One, a romantic drama to be produced in partnership with a major online platform.
The Kapuso network is also trying the new love team of Ashley Ortega and Xian Lim via Hearts on Ice.
Ready to give inspiration, thrill, and exceptional concepts are Lady Boxer, Love Before Sunrise, Royal Blood, and Love, Die, Repeat.
Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez are set to start taping for their upcoming prime-time series Mga Lihim ni Urduja.
From its successful run in 2022, Lolong and his crocodile friend Dakila are making a big return in Lolong: Ang Luha ng Unang Atubaw.
AFTERNOON PRIME-TIME SHOWS
GMA-7 welcomes 2023 with eight new afternoon prime-time dramas.
First on the list is Underage, headlined by Lexi Gonzales, Hailey Mendes, and Elijah Alejo together with Sunshine Cruz and Snooky Serna.
A remake of the 1980 film with the same title, Underage, follows the story of three sisters who embark on a journey to clear their names after being accused of murder.
The next offering is Herlene Budol's Magandang Dilag together with Benjamin Alves.
Also part of Magandang Dilag are Rob Gomez, Christopher de Leon, Sandy Andolong, Chanda Romero, Al Tantay, Maxine Medina, Adrian Alandy, Bianca Manalo, and Pam Prinster.
The series revolves around an heiress who is deceived by her greedy husband and friends. She eventually finds the strength to rise again, plots revenge against those who caused her misfortunes, and ultimately gets the love and happiness she deserves.
The drama The Seed of Love stars Glaiza de Castro, Mike Tan, and Valerie Concepcion. Based on its teaser, the story is about a couple who undergoes in-vitro fertilization.
Carla Abellana, Gabby Concepcion, and Beauty Gonzalez join forces in Stolen Life—a woman’s life is stolen from her when her cousin, who is a wanted criminal, uses astral projection to switch physical bodies with her. Jailed for her cousin’s crime, she tries to reclaim her life and family.
Arabella is headlined by Shayne Sava, Althea Ablan, Camille Prats, Wendell Ramos, Klea Pineda, Alfred Vargas, and Faye Lorenzo.
It tells the story of Ara who comes home to her loving mother, Roselle.
Their strong relationship is threatened by the discovery that they are not blood-related, and by the return of the real daughter, Bella.
Atty. Mataas tells the story of a feisty little person and a rookie named Atty. Mataas who has big dreams of fighting for the little guys.
One day, she is tasked to defend an alleged rapist against a young woman who turns out to be her half-sister from her estranged father.
Yasmien Kurdi, Rocco Nacino, and Jak Roberto are set to top-bill The Missing Husband.
When their family encounters financial trouble, a woman's husband goes missing. As she journeys to find him, she discovers things that put their marriage to the test, especially when she realizes he disappeared on purpose.
In Mechanical Heart, a little girl with a heart problem meets a little boy who rescues her from her drunk father.
Years later, they meet again, and the girl tries to navigate through senior high school with a mechanical heart.
Meanwhile, The King of Talk is back home to give the hottest showbiz news via Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Following the success of its first season, the Number 1 game show in the country, Family Feud, returns for a second season with host Dingdong Dantes.
WEEKLY ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMS
The weekend is about to get livelier with new shows every Saturday and Sunday.
First is the comeback of John Lloyd Cruz's sitcom Happy ToGetHer.
Based on the plug, Happy ToGetHer is back with the new season, ready to make fans laugh and fall in love as the same time.
Also, the singing competition The Clash 2023 is set to return and discover a new breed of singers.
Another talent competition is set to debut in GMA-7.
The Voice Generations—the latest spin-off of The Voice franchise—gives a platform for the country’s greatest performers from different generations to showcase their talents.
Also expected to air this year in the Kapuso network are Sparkle University, Battle of the Judges, and Resibo: Walang Lusot Ang May Atraso, which will be hosted by veteran journalist Emil Sumangil.

The list of their offerings are The Cheating Game starring Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz; Firefly under the direction of Zig Dulay; Penthouse 77 to be directed by Derick Cabrido; and Version Two under the helm of Irene Emma Villamor.
