Cardboard Tube Pen Holder
Gonna do this for the boys' room - I think they'd have fun putting matchbox cars and toys in it. And the carpet tubes they've been playing with will become something other than battering rams. ;)
Letterpress + Yule + Faux Bois
I actually did this with some heavy duty cardboard tubes ( the kind carpet etc. comes rolled upon) ! Now that I see this I can forsee some smaller scale gift boxes being made up in here.
Giant Banana Split
Wow! I love this and will have to try it someday for an outdoor party. Make a giant banana split! Use carpet tubing or rain gutters, covered in foil. Super fun!
Shopping Twin Cities Green
CARPET TUBES can be acquired by calling just about any carpet supplier, and make great trees, poles for backdrops, or even a log cabin!
Tree Room Dividers
Want to do a similar room divider using carpet tubes and birch look contact paper (or the like)
Cat Tree & Milo
Wall-mount DYI cat tree. The columns are made of cardboard tubes wrapped in sisal rope.
For the poles, stop by your local carpet store and ask if you can have (or purchase for a small fee/tip) any unused cardboard tubes used to roll up large carpets.
Party Poppers!
Giant flowers for bug party. Free to make. Carpet rolls were free. Carboard was found. Paint on hand. Use stakes to secure to ground.
HOME DZINE | Easy decorative faux-stone column
Almost any room can benefit from a few large, impressive accent pieces, but home accessories like these tend to be expensive. These inexpensive columns are made from building forms - or the tubes used to roll carpets - plus terracotta flowerpots and saucers. You can use a jigsaw to cut the tubes shorter if desired. http://www.home-dzine.co.za/decorating/decorating-column.htm
Classroom Palm Tree
