Antique Marguerite Royal Staffordshire Pottery Brown Transferware Oyster Plate

Only occasionally do you find English Staffordshire transferware in the form of an oyster plate. Brown transfer printed floral decoration adorns this six-well oyster plate by Arthur J. Wilkinson (Lta.) Dating to circa 1885's. The plate is marked on the back, with Marguerite across the top, then Royal Staffordshire Pottery in a banner framing a lion, and Burslem England beneath.
