Because of their exquisite needlework, the highly desirable Suzani was usually presented as a valuable dowry, and ultimately used in the home as a decorative wall hanging or bed cover. The rich oranges, reds, blues, yellows and greens seem to vibrate against the Suzani’s neutral linen body.
