The Lindale Star
The Lindale Star, This was started back in 1931 as a symbol of hope during the Great Depression. This year a new star was built out of aluminum and hung back between the mills two smokestacks after 6 years. A huge lighting ceremony to welcome the star back was held on Saturday Dec. 7th. In Lindale Ga. The mill has been closed since Sept. 28th 2001 and the new star is hung and owned by Restoration Lindale, Inc. .
