SIGNED OHIO PETITE PLANTATION DESK IN CHERRY, poplar secondary wood, ca 1830, two-piece construction. Upper section having a bold chamfered cornice above two inset panel blind doors; lower section having a one-board top supported by a skirt with a single flush drawer; all on block-and-ball turned legs. Inside of left door with a stenciled name and location WM DAVIDSON HILLSBORO OHIO. Refinished; 74` high x 29` work height x 38` wide x 22.5` deep.

Middle Tennessee Sheraton walnut desk and bookcase or "plantation desk," Two part construction. Upper section with ogee cornice over two triple-pane glazed doors, three interior shelves, over two drawers with diamond inlaid escutcheons. Shelves in upper section align with transoms on doors. Base section has slanted top surface over two dovetailed drawers with raised oval escutcheons, and tall turned legs. 85 3/4" H x 39 3/4" W x 35" D. Circa 1835.
