Beckendorf was a relatively powerful son of Hephaestus as seen by the fact that he was the counselor for Hephaestus's Cabin although he was less powerful than Leo Valdez, his younger half-brother. Technokinesis: Beckendorf, as a son of Hephaestus, had amazing mechanical abilities, with him being the best blacksmith and mechanic at Camp Half-Blood in the first series, to the point that some claimed that Beckendorf "could make anything with his hands."
