One of my favorite skybridges in New York: the Gimbel Bridge suspended over 32nd street. This three story copper skywalk features an Art Deco, copper facade that has turned a vibrant green with the passing of time and dates back to 1925 when it was build for the Gimbels Department Store. Only a few years later, the same architects who designed this beautiful skybridge started working on a much larger project only 2 blocks north: The Empire State Building.
