Murchison River, Tasmania, Australia, is 64km in length and is part of the Pieman River catchment on Tasmania’s west coast It rises below Pyramid Mountain within the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. It is joined by 6 tributaries including the Wallace, Achilles, Bluff, and Anthony rivers and flows through Lake Murchison. It reaches its confluence with the Mackintosh River to form the Pieman River near Tullah in what is now Lake Rosebery.
