I can't remember when I didn't admire Abraham Lincoln. I loved his wit and his way with words and his leadership during our nation's darkest hour. But I love him best as the "Thistle Plucker". I think his own words describe the kind of man he was~"I want it said of me, by those who know me best, that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow."
