Hanging the Christmas Star, between the mills smokestacks 1999. The star was built in 1931 and still is a huge fixture in Lindale, Ga..
Pepperell Manufacturing Company, Lindale, Ga.. In 1931 the mill company built a Christmas Star, weighing 400 lbs with 160 electric lights, 80 on each side. To be raised between the mills two smokestacks every year at Christmas. The tradition still continues today, except for the last 5 years the star was between two telephone poles. Our community rallies together to one day see it shine between the stacks again.

Massachussetts Cotton Mills in Georgia, located in Lindale, Georgia. Built in 1896, and closed in 2001. Formerly known as Pepperell Manufacturing Company. Boiler Room and the plants two famous Smokestacks, which still stand today.

The Historic Lindale Grist Mill in Lindale Ga.. This historic mill was built in 1830, and still graces the banks of the Silver Creek.
Pepperell Manufacturing Company, Lindale, Ga. 1948. The mill was built in 1896 and it closed in 2001. The mill is now in the demolition stages. Some buildings have been rented.
