Cedar shingles, garden paints, or permanent markers..... if you buy the cheapest shingles you can cut them with household scissors no problem, lightly sand and add the garden info, vegtables, flowers, corn, carrots, etc. , lumber yards often sell the busted packs of shingles VERY cheap, also see leftovers at yard sales... let the kids do this one... green, recycle, upcycle... whimsical... simple, cheap! Would be a great gift in a Terra cotta clay pot with some garden seeds
