Magazine Straw Art - Cut strips of magazine ad of which you like the colors. Wrap them diagonally around a straw, taping both ends. Brush mod podge on straws til dry. Cut straw into desired lengths and arrange on canvas, gluing them down with mod podge. When finished, brush another coat of mod podge over the whole thing! (Did I saw mod podge -- my favorite product! -- enough???)
