This is an interactive dramatic play mat for the fairy tale "Three Billy Goats Gruff". You simply print off the full color setting page along with the characters and glue them to popsicle sticks. Students can then role play the characters from the story. You can read the story to them aloud yourself, or you can purchase the package which includes my audible recording, including interactive instructions with the characters and the mat. Sample story and interactive instructions: The Little Billy Goat was the first to reach the bridge. Gingerly he put one hoof and then another onto the bridge but because it was so rickety, however hard he tried, his hoof still went trip trap, trip trap on the wooden planks. ***Take Little Billy Goat Gruff and tap his hoof “trip tap, trip trap” on the wooden planks of the bridge.*** ***Put Little Billy Goat Gruff down on the bridge. *** ***Pick up the Troll. *** Suddenly there was a huge roar. ‘Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?’ and out from under the bridge loomed the Troll. ***Bring the troll out from under the bridge and place him ON of the bridge*** Also included is a black and white interactive coloring sheet. Students are to cut out the main characters, color them, then glue them onto the background.
