Thomas Cafaro, of Boca Raton, Fla., is the son of Vincent Cafaro, a soldier in Genovese family known as the Fish who became a turncoat. Cafaro Junior could've gotten a pass after his father turned but chose to go to jail to show his loyalty to the Genovese family. He was on trial with Liborio Bellomo and got sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Genovese soldier Daniel Scarglato aka Danny Hogan (1903-1982). Originally lived in Harlem, around 113th Street, and became one of Mike Coppola’s soldiers. Worked in the Families numbers racket, taken-over after “Dutch Schultz” was murdered in 1936. Like many Harlem mobsters, he moved to the Bronx in later years. No record for him, or any mention of him after the 1960’s. He died in 1982.
Genovese associate Charles “Fat Charlie” Salzano. In 2006, assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Snyder called him a violent thug who was proposed for induction into the family by Daniel Leo, the family's new acting boss. “This is a man who is extraordinarily violent, and the right hand to the man who is widely believed to be the boss of the Genovese crime family," Mr. Snyder said.
Lucchese soldier Salvatore LoProto aka Sally The Blonde (1926-1971). He was born in Lodi, NJ where he lived with his wife and 3 kids, the wife would die in a car crash. He was employed as a dispatcher, had a crime sheet mentioning bookmaking, gun possession, vehicular homicide, arrest with John Ormento, on their way to a crime, 2 guns were found. Was deeply involved with Ormento in drug trafficking in East Harlem. Other associates were Frank Livorsi, Angelo and Fred Salerno, Sal Santoro.
