Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces. Proverbs 13:20 (The Message)
Growing up, and still today, I listened to a lot of music by ‘Steven Curtis Chapman'. He had a song called ‘Walk with the Wise', which at a young age helped engrain into me how important it is to choose who you ‘walk with' wisely. It's not just talking about friends or even who you hang out with, but those you do life with closely – those who you allow to walk with you through times of doubt and frustration, through sickness and challenge, times of great success and achievement. Who speaks into and influences your heart through these seasons has a great impact on the decisions you make, and ultimately who you become because of them. I believe God asks us to be a friend to many, extend kindness and help those around us – this scripture isn't telling us to be exclusive with our love, it's telling us to be wise with whom we let influence our path in life. Studies say you become like the 5 people closest to you. Sometimes to make a significant change in your walk, you need to make a change in who you place around your heart. Walk with the wise, and you will also grow wise. Still, love, be compassionate and generous with the love you give, but be very deliberate and choosy with who you ‘walk' with. You have to ask yourself ‘who do I want to become'. Love you guys, have the best day.
Hello, I wanted to tell how much my wife and I love your daily devotional. We have made it a point to share the new one each day. We even made one the a part of our wedding vows. The one based on proverbs “iron sharpens iron”. We have noticed that the app is no longer working. Is there another app or option to receive your daily thoughts.
Please let us know. We look forward to it each day. Thank you for your effort everyday. It truly is making a difference.
Darren and Rina
Hey Darren & Rina – Thanks for letting us know. We are aware there is definitely an issue for some users in some regions so we’re working on it to get it fixed ASAP. We’ve released an update (2.01) however it’s purely to update the description in the iTunes store to let people know there is an issue and we’re working on it! (We can’t update the description without releasing an update unfortunately so it may be confusing for some people)
The fix will be in v2.02 and which has been submitted to Apple for approval so once it has been approved it’ll be available as an update in the App Store!
God bless and apologies for the inconvenience….we really appreciate your graciousness while we get it sorted!
Kind Regards
Jesse
