Mist is a cloud of water droplets or ice crystals that have formed on microscopic hygroscopic particles when the air has become supersaturated with water or ice and which reduces surface visibility. It is one of the forms of meteorite water.
The mist is very much like fog. The difference between them depends on how well you can see. The mist is less dense then fog. If you can not see more than a kilometer (two-thirds of a mile) in front of you, it’s a fog that blurs your vision. If you can see more, it’s just mist.
The mist caused by the volcanic activity of the vapor is simply hot water, produced together with gas and, sometimes, lava, volcanic. A volcanic mist emitted from steam holes or cracks in the earth around volcanoes and geysers. Sometimes, volcanic gasses are watery clouds.
