Microsoft has been gearing up for a big holiday season with the Xbox One, stacking up a lineup of great exclusive games and trying to build sales momentum with a dizzying array of console bundles. Retailers are throwing in some sweet offers for Black Friday, offering hardware, software and accessories at deep discounts. We’re gathering the best of the best deals for you in the lead-up to Thanksgiving, and we’ll continuously update this article as new offers are revealed.
Xbox One Black Friday deals 2015: The best console bundles, games and more (update)
Consoles, consoles everywhere
Xbox One bundles are available this fall for a wide variety of top-tier games, and many of those packages are on sale for Black Friday. The standard offer that's available pretty much everywhere is the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle, which comes with a 500 GB console, for $299.99 ($50 cheaper than the regular price). But some stores are sweetening the deal: You can pick up the bundle at Target to get a free $60 gift card, or at Walmart for a $30 gift card.
The Gears of War bundle is part of a package that is, in our estimation, one of the two best Xbox One deals available this year. Dell is offering an online-only "doorbuster" deal starting at 6 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day with the Gears bundle, plus a free controller and a copy of Fallout 4, all for $299.99. The other spectacular offer is available at Best Buy starting at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving: the Rise of the Tomb Raider bundle — which comes with a 1 TB Xbox One as well as copies of the game and its predecessor, 2013's Tomb Raider — plus a free controller, for $349.99.
Best Buy is also bringing back a fantastic offer from the summer: a 40-inch Samsung LED HDTV plus an Xbox One bundle — this time, it's a 500 GB console with The Lego Movie Videogame — for $499.99. That deal is a doorbuster, so interested parties will need to get in line well before Best Buy opens at 8 a.m. on Black Friday.
If you want more options, all Xbox One bundles are being discounted by $50.

Walmart, of all stores, looks to be the place to be for deals on discounted games on Black Friday. The big-box retailer is offering some of the year's best sports titles — EA Sports' Madden NFL 16 and FIFA 16, and 2K Sports' NBA 2K16 — for just $27, less than half their regular price. Battlefield Hardline and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are available for $15. Walmart also has the Legendary Edition of Destiny: The Taken King for $35.
Other retailers have notable discounts on software, too. Guitar Hero Live is on sale at Target for only $59, which is $10 cheaper than the discounted price available at other stores. Evolve is $9.99 at GameStop.
You'll be able to find plenty of deals at multiple stores. Best Buy, Target and Walmart are all offering some major recent releases, including Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, for $35. Walmart and Best Buy are also selling Forza Motorsport 6 at $35. Target and Walmart both have Batman: Arkham Knight, Mortal Kombat X and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for $25.
Accessorize at a discount
A number of retailers are running sales on Xbox One accessories. The console’s standard wireless controller is available for $39 at Walmart and $39.99 at Best Buy. Walmart is also selling the Special Edition Covert Forces controller for $39. The GameStop-exclusive Lunar White controller is on sale for $44.99, $20 cheaper than its regular price. And Walmart is offering a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription card for $12.50, half its usual price.
Update: Microsoft announced Nov. 20 that all U.S. retailers, physical and online, will offer $50 off each of this fall’s 12 Xbox One bundles from Nov. 26-30. That deal brings down the price of three different packages — the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle, The Lego Movie Videogame Bundle and the Walmart-exclusive Special Edition Gears of War Bundle — to $299.99.
Update (Nov. 24): Sales on dozens of digital Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are now live on the Xbox Games Store. Good deals are available for Xbox Live Silver members, but Gold subscribers get deeper discounts.
Highlights include Borderlands: The Handsome Collection ($24, 60 percent off), FIFA 16 ($35.99, 40 percent off), Halo: The Master Chief Collection ($29.99, 40 percent off), Madden NFL 16 ($35.99, 40 percent off), NHL 16 ($35.99, 40 percent off), Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition ($20, 50 percent off), Mortal Kombat X ($29.99, 40 percent off) and Tales from the Borderlands ($10, 60 percent off).
