Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has officially unveiled its full subscription pass. Previously, the pass was only available in beta at two Alamo locations in Yonkers, New York and Raleigh, North Carolina. Now, it will be available for use at all 41 of the theater’s locations across the country.
The pass, which will retail between $14.99 and $29.99 a month depending on location, will allow theatergoers to attend one regular-priced movie screening per day at Alamo locations. Yes, tickets for Rowdy Cats screenings are regularly priced, so they are covered by this plan, though marathons will not be. Screenings in 3D, 70mm, Dolby Atmos, and The Big Show premium large format will be available for an additional $1.99 per ticket.
Currently, the pass is available for purchase in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Antonio, Kansas City, Yonkers, Springfield, and New Braunfels. Other locations will roll out the plan over the next few months.
“This is a huge win for movie lovers,” says Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO. “The entire reason we opened the Alamo in the first place was to share the movies we love with as many people as possible, and Season Pass is the perfect means for folks to explore more and more films.”
The subscription plan is monthly, meaning there is no pressure to commit to a full year.
