Description
One of the best soundtracks to one of the best British movies ever made. I'm not sure how many copies of this were actually pressed at the time of release but it cannot have been many, there's only one copy on popsike and three for sale on discogs starting at insane prices. I have two copies, this and one that I have owned from new. I cannot imagine this film without John Murphy's soundtrack its that good! The soundtrack is almost entirely written by Murphy with the exception of one track from Brian Eno, Grandaddy and Blue States, a gorgeous track by The Choir of Trinity College and two tracks by the angelic Perri Alleyne. The vinyl is lovely and shiny but has a number of light none feelable marks - they should have made the inner poly lined! Ive play tested the full album on my Technics 1200 and then again on my LP12. On the latter which is a more sensitive set up there is more crackle, pop and static in the quieter parts, I do not own a vinyl cleaning machine but if you win this I think, sonically, it would benefit greatly from a thorough clean. The inner is perfect, the jacket has some minor wear and a mark on the front (see photo). Fortunately its a very well made record with thick card jacket and inner. My other copy came with a poster, there is no poster with this copy, however it looks like a pretty standard poster/image for the film which I'm sure you could replace. The only reason I'm selling is that it is criminal to have two of these sat on a shelf. There is no reserve, I'm hoping a genuine collector bags this. FFS why cant I make the auction last 28 days :)
