  • Did you become more active in lockdown but now stuck in a rut?

  • Did you start with good intentions then loose your momentum?

  • Want to improve your health & wellbeing but not sure how to start?

  • Been unwell and need a gentle approach to building your strength back?

  • Struggling with mental health issues and need to boost your mood?

I live in NW London and keeping active is part and parcel of my everyday life and second nature to me. Understanding how modern day life is reducing how much people move, it is my mission to help clients prioritise their health and wellbeing so, in turn, they feel stronger to cope with the day-to-day, feel energised to strive for more and able to enjoy life to the full. About Me

With a professional background in classical ballet, dance and fitness I've been on the move since the age of three. Starting out in the fitness industry back in 1994 I have seen how fitness fads and trends have come and gone, and come back again (a bit like diets) and yet the human body has not changed! Yes, we need to shake up our workouts and activities to keep a fresh approach and motivation, however, we must listen to our body's needs, build mind and body connections through quality training and keep a flexible, complementary attitude to our ever-changing body.

Having worked in many gyms and fitness studios around London including The Sanctuary Covent Garden, Champneys and in house at The Sanderson Hotel, I have the experience and skills to be able to offer you one-to-one/couples personal training in the comfort of your own home, at your work place or out in the great outdoors. I teach a huge variety of studio and group fitness sessions with equipment or without!

As a fitness ambassador I have written and featured in many health and wellbeing publications: Pregnancy & Birth, Mother & Baby, Top Sante, Health & Fitness, SHE magazine, Fit Pro, Made for Mums, Guardian, Telegraph, HELLO.

Appeared on TV:

BBC “Say No to the Knife” 2006

GMTV’s Breakfast Baby Club 2010

Campaign creator for national fitness and charity events:

“Million Steps for a Million Mums” 2009 White Ribbon Alliance

“Stroll Back to Shape” 2010 with Maclaren & Pushy Mothers

“Push Don’t Rush Campaign” 2008 - 2013 BBC Breakfast News, Channel 5

Testimonials

Fitness is a way of life. Once you do start pushing the instant benefits of feeling great should convince you that there's no going back. Having trained hundreds of clients, in the London area, over the past couple of decades, I've been privileged to help train people with many different motivations, some for a short period of time and others for years!

Here's what a few of them were happy to share with you.

I trained with Rachel from 2013 to 2015, first with her ‘Pushy Mothers’ Fitness’ Group and then later one-to-one for PT sessions. I’d just had my first baby and was looking to get back into fitness and back into shape. A year later, I had my wedding to prepare for, and the following year, I had my second child. Rachel was an amazing support through it all. I absolutely loved training with her. It was honestly the most fun I’ve ever had training. She helped me to achieve all of my fitness and weight loss goals, and we also had such a good laugh along the way. The training also gave me the bit of head space I needed in those early parenting days and it taught me alot about how to take care of myself as a new mum. Rachel is an expert in post natal training. She understands women’s bodies in a way that far exceeds any other trainer I’ve had before or since. I wish I still lived close by!

I first trained with Rachel after my first son was born in 2001 and then went back about ten years later after I’d had a serious illness. I’m still seeing Rachel every week nine years on! I don’t creak when I get up in the morning any more and feel so much stronger physically and more positive overall.

I met Rachel after the birth of my first son 14 years ago, and I have worked with her for various periods of once, twice, and three times weekly private and shared sessions since then as my needs have changed and time permits. Since she started working with me, my strength, stamina, and postural awareness increased dramatically, and niggling back problems receded with her careful attention to building my core. I have her to thank for getting me fit and making it possible for me to enjoy two further sons’ arrivals and later, to enter group settings and the gym with confidence after a lifetime of feeling those spaces were not for me. She is a dynamic teacher and knows how and when to push clients to their next level. Rachel is a highly informed PT professional, cheerful and high energy without ever being grating because the sincerity of her interest and enthusiasm comes from the heart. I have recommended her to others over the years and would unreservedly endorse her as an excellent trainer for girls and women in any life stage.

I wanted to keep as mobile as possible in the face of old age and having various chronic conditions have unquestionably been able to keep these and my diabetes Type Two under control with meds, diet and training with Rachel three times per week for the past six years. I watch my friends become less mobile even doing day to day stuff whilst I’m still able to run 100 metres.
