While many in the US were out getting a glimpse of the Great American Eclipse, I got cloud skunked when I tried to look at it while at work. To make up for that, I was treated to an unexpected southbound move of the CSX Geometry train. When I first saw this train north of here in West Point under those same cloudy skies that thwarted my earlier solar eclipse efforts, I figured there would be no sunlight to the south. But as I raced the train to Opelika, I was pleasantly surprised by how much of a 180 the weather took. As seen from the 10th Street bridge, an even more rare GP39-2 leads today's CSX W001 Geometry train as it prepares to take the siding at North End Opelika.
