March 18, 1939-November 17, 2022 Sharen Jean Kantos, 83 of International Falls, died Thursday, November 17, at her home with family.

Sharen was born on March 18, 1939, the daughter of Carl and Bertha (Thompson) Jacobson in Chisholm, MN. She was married to Nick Kantos and blessed with a daughter and a son.

Sharen enjoyed painting, time with the curling girls at the cabin, having lunch with friends, and hosting Christmas parties. She and Nick loved wintering in Florida and the great neighbors they had over the years. Above all else Sharen loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were her bright spot.

Sharen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nick; son-in-law, Joe Novotny; brother, Dennis (Janet) Jacobson; and brother-in-law, Paul McCabe.

Sharen is survived by her daughter, Jill Kantos of Minneapolis, MN; son, Craig (Lori) Kantos of Sisseton, SD; grandsons, Cole (Cindy) Kantos of Sheldon, IA, Parker (Gina) Kantos of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Carol McCabe of White Bear Lake, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
