Some rebooted TV shows are dramas that capture the high stakes and in depth storylines of dramas, while other TV remakes bring new comedic life to classic comedies and sitcoms. A few of the best TV revivals are even re-imaginings of classic cartoons and animated characters that were beloved by their fans then... and now!
What are some of the best TV revivals that you'll find below? Airing in 2016, The X-Files reboot was one of the most anticipated TV revivals of all time. Fans were thrilled to see Mulder and Scully return to the small screen. Will & Grace also returned to TV after 10 years off the air with the same cast, and Murphy Brown was revived after 20 years. The reboots Fuller House and The Conners feature most of the original casts, but not all.
Other shows were remade entirely, sharing only a name and concept with the original series. Examples include Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., and MacGyver.
