Quarterback Joe Burrow wins the 2019 Heisman Trophy, joining running back Billy Cannon (1959) as the second player from LSU to win the award. Burrow has thrown for 4,715 yards, an SEC-record 48 touchdowns and six interceptions.

It was announced that Burrow broke several voting records.

Ohio State QB Justin Fields, Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts and Ohio State DE Chase Young were the other finalist.
