Highly recommend the frozen margs and bloody mary’s. The manager Jason is a player/pickleball enthusiast and has done a great job building out the courts. “Our team of 17 held its end of season luncheon at Della J’s Alexandria VA. The entire experience (e.g., establishment, food, service, etc.) was awesome! The staff… It started with Q&A with the hostess (Yvette), who also walked me thru the website to view menu options and how to make an online reservation. Then there was the manager (Catrina) who clearly explained the reservation process, payment and the services to be provided on the day of the reservation. And lastly, our server (Maria) worked the party solo! She was professional, organized and went above and beyond accommodating every request with a smile. I would definitely return.”
“A large Club group of 40 had lunch at the Red Lobster on the Queensway! We had a separate party room for our group. The service was just great and the servers were very pleasant and accommodating. We received our meals in a timely fashion considering the size of the group. The menu is very extensive but varied which serves well to many different tastes and appetites. Everyone in the group really enjoyed their luncheon choices and most had to ask for takeaway cartons. We had couple or individual bills and they were handled efficiently by the staff. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon!”

“Yum, Yum, Yum! I was invited to lunch at Papa Diesel's Restaurant on my visit to Apopka, FL. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the entire experience was a treat. A friendly family atmosphere greeted me at the door, with the added touch of care that was immaculately given to every detail. The aroma from the kitchen activated my taste buds, as I stared mesmerized by the extensive menu. Finally, I decided to go for the “Diesel Sampler”. The brisket was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. The ribs fell from the bone with such flavor that no sauce was necessary—the pulled pork I used to sample the homemade sauces. As I was told, the sauces will soon be available in the local supermarkets (as I can attest to becoming a family staple). Needless to say, the sausage, chicken, and sides all met with the same flavorful standards. Ending my meal with a dessert, I enjoyed the peach cobbler and shared a nibble of key lime cake with my date. It was an enjoyable afternoon, sharing special time with loved ones in a loving environment, dining on food prepared by Papa Diesel, who loves to cook for folks, and making them feel at home!”
