“We just celebrated my wife's surprise 65th birthday Sunday with 14 family members. We chose El vado #2 Mexican Restaurant and couldn't be any happier. From them going out of their way purchasing ballons and banners to her complimentary frozen ice cream the service, food and drinks were phenomenal. Very warm and welcoming staff. Very appreciative of your business and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for this memory. Never felt rushed. Everyone in our family raved on how great it was and was one of our best parties ever. Familiar with their other restaurant in McHenry which is also excellent and reasonably priced. You have to try this place if you like mexican food. A+++”

“Terrific little hidden neighborhood spot on Main, the old 22 right in the middle of town. Service was excellent, clean and comfortable.

Parking: Rear Parking and a back door you don't realize until after the first visit.”

“The tacos were good. The salsa was extremely spicy (still edible, but I prefer a more mild salsa, especially in a restaurant setting) and the chicken taco which claimed to be spicy, actually wasn't, which I thought was kind of strange. The pico de gallo on my fish taco was also very hot since it contained a lot of jalapeno. Out of the 3 tacos I got the mahi mahi was my favorite.”

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.”

“We visited Lago last night for the first time. I was honestly prepared to be “under-whelmed” due to all the hype and somewhat expensive menu, however, we were very pleasantly surprised! Our server, Randy, was new but did a great job. The GM and Manager both stopped by our table to check in on how things were going. We ordered the Peccorino Rolls which were AMAZING. I tried 2 of the special Old Fashioneds and they were both excellent!! For dinner, my husband had the NY Strip and I had Surf & Turf and we were both very happy with our meals. I had read that it was very noisy in there, but we sat on the patio and I didn’t find it to be noisier than any other restaurant on a Friday night. Overall, we were very happy and will definitely go back.”

“1st off, I'm not a local guide as this stupid Google system says I am. Ok, Native New Yorker now living in Texas, seriously missing good Chinese food. I was in Illinois for business and a coworker suggested China Style and it was delicious! The nice woman at the counter had them make BBQ Pork Fried Rice for me, to go with an order of BBQ Pork and it was all very good! The prices were standard for what Chinese food costs these days. It was so good. I came back 2 days later for more of the rice and had the Chicken with Broccoli and it was very good as well! Thank you to the nice woman for having the order prepared specifically for what I wanted! Best Chinese I've had away from New York.”

“A fun distillery. Small bar out front with a larger area in the back with live music. The prices are a little expensive, but you get quality with it. It's a nice easy night out.”

“while they usually do great I ordered 2 of the big Kahana tubs today. I've never had one but as the sandwich and pictures show, it's not supposed to have lettuce. I had half my teeth removed a few weeks ago and lettuce is just not doable for me. highly disappointed.”

“She's got the most delicious pastries, but not only that, we used her for making our wedding cake, and man was it good! Even our guests that had cake loved it! I would give her 10/10 rating and will most definitely recommend touch of sweets to anyone who's looking for a baker for their wedding. “I had Wingstop for the first time on Tuesday in Shakopee Minnesota and it was excellent! Perfectly cooked chicken thick and tasty. The Louisiana rub was pretty hot for me. Sadly when I got home the blue cheese dip was not in the bag. The sauce was leaking out of the bag.”

“Been going to Sergios since the beginning. The owner, Sergio, is an awesome guy. I moved out of Lake Zurich two years ago but every time I’m in town and am hungry, I usually try to stop by.”

“We ordered a Thanksgiving catering package for our Black Friday get-together and everything was delicious, but the smoked turkey breast stole the show! The food was still hot even by the time we got it home and set up. The server there at 2pm when I picked up was very kind and helpful as well! We will definitely be back!

“We were at a food truck event and saw Kurbside Pizza and Panini! When we went to order a delicious sounding panini (Pear and Prosciutto), turns out it was supposed to be a pizza… They wanted to try to make it into a panini as they hadn’t done it before. We were SO GRATEFUL they did because it was one of the most delicious (and beautiful) panini sandwiches we have had! The food ratio of the ingredients was just right, the large panini bread was toasted perfectly and melted as you took a bite—including the crust that is typically very hard from other restaurants. I would have never thought to combine those ingredients together, but the combination was tasty! They used very fresh ingredients as well, including generous slices of the pear. We highly recommend Kurbside Pizza and Panini! PS—how cute is this truck as well with the pizza wings? Amazing experience! 💖”

“We needed a place for dinner while driving home from a weekend getaway. We luckily found Bobbers thanks to reviews on Google Maps. Boy were we glad we went! Lake perch fish fry was fantastic as were the grilled shrimp and curly fries. Can’t wait to go back on a nice day and sit outdoors with a beautiful lake view!”

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.”

“Just dined here for the first time! (A friend of mine who's a server at nearby Italian steakhouse, Lago, referred me to Eggshells, and told me to check out their corned beef!) His recommendation was spot-on! I had a great meal at Eggshells! Their menu's so big and full of great selections, I couldn't make up my mind, so I ordered the Irish Skillet (which of course had corned beef as its main ingredient) plus the Smoked Salmon Platter (note: this item doesn't come with a bagel, so I ordered an Everything Bagel too)! For drinks, I had coffee and orange juice. Everything tasted fresh and DELICIOUS! Plus, my server, Kaitilin, did a fantastic job with her fast, friendly and efficient service! I also liked how upbeat, welcoming and clean the restaurant looked! I'll definitely be coming back!!!”
