“What can I say other than magical?! We were fortunate enough to host my son’s 11th birthday party in the back room (The kids loved the secret hidden entrance through the bookcase). Tons of great games for all ages and the food was fantastic! Literally everything we had was gourmet quality and up to my foodie 11 year-old’s standards. “Having the fortune to come across this restaurant was one of the ultimate highlights from our Salem trip. The owner Jackie was so personable and kind. It was a true pleasure talking with her. The pizza and food was incredible- all very fresh, homemade dough and sauce, high quality ingredients, which you could tell from the first bite! You can taste the care that goes into this food. Amazing Pizza was a gem, and I will definitely visit again on my next visit to Salem.”

I drive in and out of Boston 4 days a week and have tried a few other Chinese restaurants of the many I pass on my way home to Gloucester and none have met the quality, price and service that China Wok offers.”

“Not sure what the experience the other reviewers here had but we had an unbelievably amazing experience! The views were out of this world- nowhere else in Beverly can say the same. Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. We will definitely be back and would always request her. Food was amazing, huge portions, flavorful, and came out so quickly! A must in the area! The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!”

““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.”

“How anyone could give this place a bad review makes no sense to me. You've probably already read from the other reviews that the staff is incredible, but truly -- they are. They are so kind and welcoming to every single person that comes in. Aside from that, the coffee is AMAZING! They have so many different flavors to choose from and you can customize any drink however you like (even if it's not on the menu). Also, the breakfast sandwiches... wow. Get 'The Stallion', just trust me. Prices are completely reasonable. Honestly, no other coffee place I've been to even compares. I'll be a longtime customer!”

“10/10 consistently amazing food every single time we’ve eaten in or gotten take out. Hadn’t been in nearly ten years but decided to try it out after hearing about new ownership and a new menu and woooooow. Might be a different vibe than the previous incarnation of the restaurant,
but I personally think all of the changes are an extreme improvement. Prices seem high but the portions are excellent and you really get what you pay for in terms of quality. Likewise — maybe not as “fancy,” but the high grade of food and the menu selection fills the hole that True Bistro in Somerville left behind when they closed.

Spent many hours in the back room with some of the legends of Beverly especially the man “ Ritchie “ the best pizza maker in the world and a greater friend!! I've sampled much of the menu and its clear that an abundance of pride and quality goes into each offering. Wholesome alchemy is abound with fantastic flavors, ideal portions, pronounced quality, and warm service. If Soall were the only available lunch option, I would be ecstatic to not be distracted by other meals! My go-to dish is the Curry Chicken Noodle Soup which I could enjoy every day and never fatigue from the expert balance of flavors and textures. Although there is a sense of longing at the end of the meal, the satisfaction from a healthful satiation follows for the rest of the day without an afternoon slump from less nutritious options.This is a true gem and not to be missed.”
