“I’ve loved Saltfish on CB for years, but the new owners have really kicked it up to a whole new level. I hate to make it more difficult to get a reservation in this cute little tiki bar, but I gotta sing their praises. The service and food have gone from ‘really good’ to ‘omg I’m gonna dream about this meal forever’. I’m currently obsessed with their scallops- they’re served with a stunning curry sauce, fragrant rice, fresh citrus slaw, and Maduros. It’s a beautiful meal and perfectly executed every time. Last night we got the coconut shrimp app, the scallops and their chicken katsu, and then finished it off with their homemade rum cake with candied pineapple and fresh whipped cream. Everything was just incredible. They’re staffed better than they used to be- service is quick and friendly. Expansive menu of tiki drinks. Definitely recommend reservations even in the off season- it’s a tiny spot with limited seating. 10000/10 definitely recommend this little gem.”

“I wanted to thank Sunny Daze Smokehouse and their crew for being so accommodating to me and my son. He has a severe peanut and dairy allergy so I cannot have them. I messaged them that I wanted to eat there with my family, but had some dietary restrictions. The last time I was there I got some DELICIOUS brisket nachos covered in cheese. This year I couldn’t get my go to, but was able to get the brisket plate with baked beans. We are so thankful and appreciative, we will be back. If you have any local restaurants that would be accommodating, please let me know! Very far from vegan over here 😂 Carolina, Kure, or wrightsville beaches or Wilmington.”

“We love Seaworthy! We have been there three times now and the food is so good! It’s really fresh and a lot of care is put into it. I never order salad, but the spinach salad with the homemade green goddess dressing is amazing! We’ve also had the fish tacos, shrimp and grits, crab cakes, fish tacos and the little one enjoys the kids cheeseburger and french fries. All of it delicious and we’ll definitely be back.”

“I hadn't been back to the Pelican in over a decade before popping in this Christmas Day. It's a rough day for my family and we couldn't have asked for a kinder, sweeter, or friendlier group of locals. The Pelican family went out if it's way to make us feel loved and welcome, to the point of tears. It's a memory that will stay in my mind as among the truest examples of the Christmas spirit I have ever experienced. Thank you 💚”

Their selections are great and they even have the menu of what is “off top” surrounding the ceiling. A+”

“We've been to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk so many times but never stopped in to try the gelato. SO glad I stopped in this time. The young lady working the counter was so friendly, she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. The store is bright and clean, they have items/souvenirs for sale. The gelato is beautifully displayed and the flavors are clearly marked. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options. I chose the chocolate oreo for myself and the sugar-free strawberry cream for my husband. I was taking the gelato back to our rental unit, so she offered full-size spoons or tasting-size spoons and napkins, and asked if I needed an insulated bag. The gelato was smooth, creamy and delicious. We will definitely stop back in again on our next trip to CB.”

“Great little stop. Don't expect a sit down experience but for the prices, there's really nothing to complain about.

We got the 2/5$ hotdogs and they were delicious. Given the wait time (nothing crazy), you can tell they make the hotdogs as they're being ordered and not having the dogs sit until someone buys one.

It's a great little place to stop by for something quick and on the go. Will definitely visit this place again.”

“Just a walk up hole in the wall. The two servers that were working were very helpful and extremely personable. We had the butter pecan ice cream and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream. Both were delicious. We then could not resist the funnel cake that they drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and topped with whipped cream! A definite must go!!”

“I was in Carolina beach for a business trip and stumbled upon Malama for breakfast. All I can say is WOW! The best coffee I have ever had and I'm a coffee snob. LOL. I also had the avocado toast and it was the bomb!! Now if I can just convince them to open a store here in Charlotte NC.”

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!”

“Very unique atmosphere, great vibes. Came here 7.5 years ago and made a sort of life-changing, pivotal, whim-decision in this bar while drunk (don’t normally recommend doing that, but it worked out for the better, for me!), so I had to come back and visit again.”

“We live locally so we come here A LOT, especially in the off season. Off-season this is the place to be because they do pumpkin patches for the kiddos and a Christmas Tree lot. On-season the quality of food/service is still there and their kid-friendliness keeps us coming back, especially the sturdy baby changing stations and the wide variety of high chairs available for low tables and high tables. All in all we are impressed and pleased with the changes. When we come to eat we LOVE the BABLT and the Burger.”

“My boys and I had dinner here on Saturday after the music festival. There was a short 15-minute wait to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. Our server was wonderful, and on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything, and refills were on the table before we were out. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the raspberry margaritas are the best I've ever had. Definitely going back on my next trip! Best meal we had on the Island this weekend!”

“Tonight's we went because we heard they had chargrilled octopus as an appetizer. OMG‼️It was out of this world! Chargrilled octopus, drizzled with a lovely lemon vinaigrette & microgreens, served with grilled potatoes, and a great charred lemon. Chef Larry outdid himself...to the point that I ordered another one to take home and freeze! Staff and bartenders were excellent‼️ We highly recommend you make it to Michael's ‼️😍♥️👍👍👍”

“They moved locations recently. They're on the opposite corner of the building they were at before (backside).

My mother and I dropped in for lunch after the beach & walking the boardwalk. It was refreshingly cool in there, temperature & scenery wise. A small place, with not much seating, but they made it work! We shared the pick 2, got flounder & shrimp. Not too shabby for the price. (Only one shrimp wasn't deveined) OH, great jams playing ?

Parking: There's street parking or a few different lots to choose from (depending on how far you want to walk). Paid, ofc. Peak season, get it early!

“Pier under construction and repair, so Tiki Bar is closed. However, the High Tide lounge was open and serving drinks and had minimal food offerings. Burger, Mahi sandwich, hot dogs with gourmet toppings, and a few appetizers. No fryer, so a bag of chips, as a side, is the only option. Mahi was excellent, thick cut made for a meaty sandwich.”

“Haven’t been able to stop by here in a long time - probably two years at least. Nothing has changed in the best way possible. Phenomenal coffee, warm and welcoming staff, comfy place to hang out, and there is cool art work, jewelry, and other items for sale. The owner is behind the counter regularly. She is kind, and funny, and she makes the best coffee I’ve had in NC. Highly recommend!”
