David Gomez

David Gomez passed away at The Crossing on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 83.

He was born in Raymondville, TX and was raised in San Perlita, TX.  He attended San Perlita High School where he played football for the high school team.  He played the guitar and several other musical instruments. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent 3 years in California.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Gomez; son, Gary Gomez and daughter-in-law Shelley Berthelot Gomez; grandchildren, Reid Gomez, Gabe Gomez, and Grant Gomez; siblings, Larry Gomez (Brenda), Jose Luis Gomez (Rosalinda), Guillermo “Willie” Gomez, Manuel Gomez, Jr. (Mary), Eduvina G. Guerrero (Arnoldo), Anita G. Wolfe.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Sr. and Maria Gomez; and sister, Diamantina “Tina” Gomez.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
