Search crews are looking for two men that disappeared while boating on Lake Mead near Echo Bay.
A family member reported three Las Vegas men missing Thursday night after they failed to check in during their boating trip.
The National Park Service said they found the men’s vehicle at Echo Bay and began looking for the boaters at sunrise.
They found their capsized vessel about 11:30 a.m. Teams from Las Vegas police and the Nevada Department of Wildlife joined the search, and one of the men was found unresponsive approximately a half-mile north of the boat about 2:30 p.m.
The Clark County coroner’s office confirmed the man was dead, but his identity will not be released until his family has been notified.
As of 4 p.m., the search team consisted of three National Park Service vessels with nine rangers, one Nevada Department of Wildlife vessel with three wardens, Metro air and the Metro Search and Rescue, the park service said.
In the past nine months, there have been 151 search and rescue missions on the water.
