Alien: Rogue Incursion releases today on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while the Quest version of the the Xenomorph-flavored horror-shooter is slated to arrive February next year. Now developer Survios announced its already in full swing crafting ‘Part Two’.

We’ve already had a chance to play through Part One in our full review, where we gave the game a solid [7/10] for its immersive atmosphere and strong narrative, which we thought was somewhat dampened by repetitive enemy encounters and a pretty punishing save system.

While it could easily be a standalone game in the series, clocking in at around eight hours and serving up heaps of Xenomorphs and smart narrative beats, you’ll definitely expect Part Two of the action once all is said and done.

While we don’t know precisely what’s in store, it appears we’ll be getting some much awaited variety outside of Part One’s packs of samey Xenomorphs. Survios says Part Two “continues Zula’s story, pitting her against deadlier enemies and more difficult challenges,” noting that it’s already in development.

First on the docket though is Quest release of Part One, which is slated to arrive exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Fitting all of those dynamically loading levels, detailed textures and physics-based interactions onto Quest 3’s mobile chipset doesn’t sound like an easy task—ostensibly why the studio delayed the Quest release in the first place.

Whatever the case, with core systems is already built for Part One, so we’re hoping for a speedy turnaround for Zula Hendricks’ next (and possibly final) fight to cleanse the rogue science station of every last spitting Xenomorph.

Another Mobile Garbage Game. The game is already terrible, 3 weapons only. And 2 of those weapons have single reloads. Really? You are telling me in the future where this warrior lady comes to a planet to fight the Xeno's that she comes with a pump action single reload shotgun and a single reload pistol? Sure she had a rifle with a mag.

Anyways, the design of those weapons is just stupid and limiting. Easily in the future you would take a pistol with mags and even shotguns with mags.

There are many other problems with this garbage game like stupid AI and poor graphics.

The dev is really presumptious to make a part 2.

Another pearl of wisdom about garbage graphics… Vision Express prices are quite reasonable you know.

It's not a mobile game either, although technically when it's downscaled for Quest in February it could be if I were making a joke, which like your post, I am.

      • Leisure Suit Barry

I think he's just hurt that PSVR was DOA and PCVR is all but dead outside of mods.

      • Michael Speth

Of course it is a mobile garbage game. It was designed to run on mobile and they simply increased textures and did some lighting tweaks on PC/psvr2. Garbage.

VR fanbois simply cannot determine the good from the bad. You all just lap everything up.

Alien Rogue Incursion is another buggy mess that was at the 11th hour divided up into more than 1 game bc it was a garbage rush job.. DEI was also detected which hurts the game as well.

The weapon design doesn't make any sense in universe but they did it this way bc they have no VR talent.

Studios that make mobile VR games harm the VR industry and will further push flat gamers away. They will see the terrible reviews on steam on this one and be glad in their decision not to buy VR.

        • dextrovix

I get your MO, you’re bitter from your past postings, especially around PSVR2, but as it’s nearly Christmas I forgive you and send seasons greetings. I’m an Alien fan so I’m happy with this, and will buy part 2, and titles like this won’t push flat gamers away- they don’t know what they’re missing, and if they try this first they’d be in awe like any VR experience would cause them to be.

          • Michael Speth

            You are delusional.

Flat gamers can see the videos and have already determined VR is not worth their time or money.

I am happy to play GT7 (there is so much game there I really don't have much time for anything else). I also am playing Until You Fall because it is a great game and I am working towards unlocking all weapons.

I played 1H of Metro and won't go back to that game … its garbage and sad.

I have recently purchased Horizon Call of the Mountain (as I bought my PSVR2 2nd hand) so I have that experience to play through over the holidays as well.

I have already 100'd Star Wars Tails of the Galaxy Edge Enhanced Editions. It is a great game – 1 of my fav. You know what you have in that game? Progression. Lots of weapon options, a jet pack that can be upgraded over time. It really feels like a AAA game.

You know what metro, behemoth, and alien lack, features that we have come to expect in modern day gaming. Although I really enjoyed the story of Arisona Sunshine 2 and gameplay was fun. Tons of different weapons to choose from.

I think the difference for Vertigo Games actually started with Mobile Garbage VR as the target for Metro which is why the game is so bad. They held their design back with Metro – I won't be buying their products in the future if there is a meta version.

Meta has retarded VR gaming. Comparing Arizona Sunshine 2 to any of the 3 garbage releases we just got – YT and everyone seems to just be in their own delusional space and in denial. Get some help.

          • dextrovix

I’m fine, but after that bilge, I suggest you get some.

  • Octogod

Saying this is a series should have been communicated from the beginning. Keeping this hidden reeks of double dipping by splitting a full game into two.

    • Michael Speth

Devs are not capable, they crunched just to get part 1 out. It's a terrible mess and not worth it.

      • I'm all ears ….
        What's your take?

        • kakek

          Mine is simple.
Minimum requirement are far too high for the graphics on display.
Game crash and is unplayable on said minimum requirements.

No comment about the way you are talking to eachother but that it could be without offending each other by respecting every opinion.

However, as an Alienfan I can contribute why the weapons in this game are the way they are:

Yes, some badass marines in the franchise have more modern plasma weapons and autoguns, mostly the standard weapons are the pulse rifles with explosive rounds. However, it is explained that those guns often cause trouble and that experienced marines fall back to bring (illegal) legacy weapons like non-electronic shotguns.

So all the developers did was to be faithful to the lore.

Yes, bullets appear out of nowhere from virtual pockets… But a more realistic approach would lead to a system like Into the Radius, where you have to reload manually every clip from the ammo box. That might not work for an acard game like this.

And where would you start? The station is to be a science station. Apart from security, why would anyone have a gun? Why is ammo to be found in every second locker and so on.

The game is meant to transport the original Aliens movie feeling.

At the moment, I am very torn between liking or hate the game. On my old PC (1080 gpu) I stream to my Quest 3 headset. Half Life Alyx runs absolutely fine on it, and it looks much better than Aliens does.
Aliens runs fine for quite a while and then sometimes breaks the frame rate for whatever reason. Sometimes even in the same section after reloading?!

The save-system is a mass and leads to very unlogical behavior, like going back to a section before entering the elevator just to save. Otherwise, you have to play through a whole lot of story time…

Then there are way too many Aliens constantly attacking, only to give you a hunted feeling. That feels boring after a while.

And then there are very cool moments that I would not want to have missed.

This game could be much more, but it is better than to not have it. Makes that sense?

    • Michael Speth

The reason the devs put in single reload is because they wanted a slower game with slower aliens. Most likely to deal with lower hardware requirements on mobile VR.

But the game runs poorly on PC so we can determine that the game simply couldn't run with faster paced aliens hence the need to have these stupid single reload weapons.

  • kool

It’s called a bandolier and shotguns are perfect for cqc on a spaceship where you could possibly penetrate the hull with 10x24mm caseless rounds with explosive tip. Ive never seen a single shot pistol possibly some kind of an elephant gun in that case very dumb. They went with the pump because Hicks had a pump it’s the reason I have one it doesn’t have to make sense lol. But yes they have awesome shotguns in a carbine frame with 11 round clips that’s what I would take to an alien fight

    • Michael Speth

I have no problem with taking a shotgun and agree that it must be a cartridge based milspec shotgun to ensure a high rate of fire.

As for a single shot pistol, have you ever heard of a desert eagle?

      • kool

You don’t want a shotgun to fire too fast especially if your using slugs. The term is semi auto, single shot or single reload means you have to manually eject each cartridge like a single shot shotgun like a double barrel shotgun or an elephant gun. And every soldier is the us has been issued a semi auto side arm since 1911. Automatic pistols are wildly inaccurate without a wrist stock. I would never carry an automatic pistol into combat. Have you ever emptied a .50 clip? Tell me that’s what you’d use in a fire fight!

        • Michael Speth

I never asked for automatic pistols or shotguns. 1 issue with the Garbage Aliens Game is with single reload on the pistol and shotgun.

A desert eagle gives you the high caliber plus cart. No need for a stupid revolver fighting aliens.

Again, milspec shotgun with cart ensures you aren't wasting time reloading individual shells.

The reason they went with single shell/bullet reloads is to slow the game down – a poor game design to cover their terrible AI.

          • kool

Desert eagles a a 7 round clips and your right if you take a revolver you need to have speed loaders for your rounds

      • kool

I’d take a pulse rifle,a 12 gauge slug ar shotgun with flamethrower under barrel and a 357 with 310 dragonfire shells and a machete with a glass lament… I may have spent a lil too much thinking about this
