Did Hannah Horvath really go stale, like really? Isn't that impossible?
Sadly, friends, that answer's a resounding yes.
Though managing to somehow force Hannah and Adam together throughout Season 3, the centralizing narrative acts in opposition to the audience's wants, thus dwindling its chances of evolving into a truly original narrative. Then it stands that, Season 3 morphs into a predictable tale of young, emotional stasis, as told by a protagonist we once would've died for...
With the knowledge of future pain, I'd recommend you give the first few episodes a try, though cautiously, as they do hold some prospect, but again, prepare for the bitterest of regret by episode 8. I warned you.
The best episode is 7 though, which coincidentally is titled Beach House, one of Indie Alt. Rock's best bands.
We all loved the whimsical gags and micro-stories evident throughout the first seasons, that being the rebellious infatuation undertaken by Hannah, the backlash of Shoshanna's social anxiety, the lusting between Marnie and Ray, and even the depreciation of Jessa's confidence in her ability to exist in a total state of kindness. But, folks, by the middle of Episode 1, Season 3, you can already feel that the dialogue just doesn't sit as well.
Its youthful brilliance now fleeting in consult of tropes repeated on a systemic level by the romantic comedy genre.
Though, there are moments when youll still LOL or clap silently within, like watching Elijah's new, asshole-of-a-partner, sneak a bottle of wine away from the backs of the enraged trio of Shoshanna, Hannah, and Marnie. Or, when Shoshanna finally calls out Hannah for her egoism.
By the end of Season 3, it's almost as if in Hannahs search for repairing Adams interest in her emotional character, she simultaneously destroys the physical relationship with Adam, while savaging the audiences remaining interest as well.
"It's like you're just outside of yourself, watching me. Adam after pulling out of Hannah.
Dont worry though Hannah and Co.-- Well still chuckle fondly when binging through the first two seasons. Also, the last episode did force me into feeling the same depression over a stale relationship, resembling a monstrous creation now.
Thank you for the catharsis.

Just getting better and better. Mean and funny, bittersweet, knowing that life is always full of craps and stones but learning how to deal with it is definitely two kind of thing.

If this is what television is going to be, I want no part of it. Awful, awful show.
