Fast and fun road to trail beast. This shoe is probablythe best shoe I have run in. It is very fast and stable on roads, but has really amazed me on the trails. The midsole does start out on the stiffer side, but breaks nicely in after 50 miles. Reviewer Gus' tip on mechanically flexing the forefoot is helpful too. I think the FF Turbo+ is the most efficient foam I have had under my feet. It delivers a sweet ride at any pace from recovery to strides. The Asics grip outsole has superb grip on both roadsand trails making this my top road to trail shoe ever. The upper is a deceptively simple multi-directional knit that gives a great lockdown and keeps the foot on top of the massive 46mm stack with zero BS like most of the over engineered TPU overlays on most trail shoes, which is what makes it so great on thetrails after breaking it in. Lots of people love this shoe for good reason: it is fast and lasts for a bunch of fun miles. Believe the hype!

Not So SuperThe Superblast 1 was a great shoe. Not perfect by any stretch (tongue was dreadful, laces were bitey), but much better than this model. The new foam is a little softer, a little less bouncy. My problem is Asics insisting on this stretched out geometry of the midsole. It is clunky, clumsy, and makes me run awkwardly. You are very aware that this shoe is on your foot and the tongue is still too thin. People talk about running marathons in these and the SB1 and I don't know how they avoid injuries at those distances. At mile 6-7 I am ready to get these off my feet.

not my favoriteI tried this shoe because it has been raved about. Unfortunately this is not the shoe for me. I feel like the shoe flops or plops during my gate cycle rather than giving me the proper roll through. It is also very wide through the mid foot, and I cannot get a good lock down. If you have a narrow mid foot this is not the shoe for you. I should have known because I have the same problem with the only other Asics shoe I own.

Super Blast ???Shoe felt stiff and provided limited bounce/ feedback. Had to work harder to run fast in these shoes, overall shoe felt too large/clumsy. Probably a very good shoe for SLOW runs, but I did not care for them. So much hype on how great these shoes were added to my disappointment.

Maybe better for heel strikersI might be the only person on earth that doesn't love this shoe, same thing happened with the Novablast 3. I have a pretty narrow and low volume foot, and even sizing down 1/2 the shoe is too roomy for anything fast (below 7min per mile), especially in the forefoot, but it's easy to get good heel lock with the beefy heel collar.
I'm a definite mid-foot striker and the shoe feels a bit floppy, with very little sense of roll. But when running downhill I noticed the roll and bounce really came to life... because I was getting the spring from the heel. When I tried to land on my heel on the flats it felt great.
The shoe feels very much like a trainer, especially because of the very thick (overdone to me) heel collar. It runs a little warm too. For a long distance trainer, I prefer a more sleek feeling shoe with more minimal upper like the Mach X 2, or if not that, at least the roll and bounce of something like the Zoom Fly 6 (which also has a thick heel collar). But, it's very stable and felt like it would last forever.
It's a great shoe, just not for me.

The fit was off for meI am a middle of the pack runner. I really liked the under foot feel, but the fit just didn't work for me. I had high hopes
Pros: Lightweight, breathable, a bouncy/springy under foot feel.
Cons: The heel was loose, the midfoot was a little bit wide, the toe box was just ok. For some reason the toe box drag on the ground from time to time. I haven't had that issue before. I know I pick up my feet enough and the shoe wasn't the wrong size (I only had a thumb with space in toe). I don't know what caused this. My thought is perhaps the fit is off because it's a unisex shoe. If there was a women's version it may fit better.

best high-end "trainer" running shoeLight, fast, stable, comfortable, easy lockdown/ lace-up, awesome outsole for dry/damp trails. In terms of running enjoyment and efficiency, this is the best shoe I've bought since 1995.... I run on hilly, steep, primarily dirt trails on the coastal range of C.A. Not much rocks, no snow melt mud, no full water immersion. Lots of false flat fireroads, mtb singletrack, and some steep climbs- descents. This shoe simply flies through this stuff. I manually flex the forefoot area of the shoe to rid the factory design stiffness..... way too stiff (forefoot) out of the box.... The forefoot flexes really nice now. The shoe doesnt strangle my foot, yet fits my mens 11 very precisely.... no slop anywhere. The tounge is rad, no migration, stategic padding, no lace bite. The upper is rad, comforfable zonal knitting which easily keeps my foot on top of the midsole. Heel compartment is precise and comfortable, no laterall slop or heel lift. The midsole is like performance plush, faster acting than the Mag Max. On flats, flase flats the foam feels nice- non pillowy..... but on steeper downhills, higher paced downhill false flats, the foam turns it into a magic carpet ride.... no jarring, no bottoming out. Lastly, the outsole treads -I am rotating though 4 pairs of these shoes, using them on dirt non-rocky trails..... WAY BETTER THAN 3-5mm lugs. These shoes are like cross country MTB racing tires. I am not peak bagging in the Sierras or doing off trail scrambling..... I am running on semi maintained trails!! Foot hold and stability is pretty rad through higher speed off chamber /tech sections.
.....For me and the way I use this shoe, this shoe leap frogged everything else out there by 5 to 15 years, no joking. I use the awesome Mag Maxes for trail work, Superblast 2 for all running. Me:dude, 155lbs, 5'9", neutral landings, 35-50mpw, dirt trails only - minimal pavement. I am a very experienced trail runner.

Love these!I love fun, bright colors and these fit the bill there for sure! More importantly, they are very comfortable to run in. My first time wearing these was a short workout on the treadmill with a variety of paces from super easy to fast (for me - fastest pace around 8:40) - they felt great the entire time. I didn’t feel any hotspots so far (this was a short run, only 3.25 miles). I’m very sensitive if shoes are too tight in the forefoot and these didn’t bother me at all in my normal running shoe size.

Awesome Shoe Highly RecommendShoe is fantastic, like a mix between the endorphin Speed 3 and the invincible, very cushiony yet also light and poppy enough to pick up the pace for tempos or even faster. Very durable outsole, 50 miles in and the bottoms still look amazing.

AWESOME SAUCEGreat news!!! V2 is amazing. Improved outsole grip and breathability. Slightly improved energy return with the same long-distance cushioning. Not a huge difference from V1. If you loved V1, then you will more than likely love this version too. The colorway looks better in person.
