Sactown magazine is Sacramento’s city magazine, with an audited circulation of 30,000 and with dozens of national awards for publishing excellence in the areas of editorial, design and photography. Among those awards is the Maggie Award for Best City & Metropolitan Magazine by the Western Publishing Association. Sactown was founded in 2006 by journalists Rob Turner and Elyssa Lee. Rob was born and raised in Sacramento, and spent a decade working in New York City, where he met Elyssa at Money magazine where they were staff writers. Between them, they have written for publications as diverse as New York, InStyle, Money, Fortune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, SmartMoney, Metropolis and U.S News & World Report. Sactown covers the entire Sacramento region, from Davis to El Dorado Hills, Auburn, and everywhere in between.
