    Distinguished guest, Respected principal, Supervisors, Teachers, my dear friends and parents. Good evening.

    First of all let me thank my friends for having confidence in me and electing me as the president of Science club. It is in need a great honor for me. At the same time I take this opportunity to promise that I shall fulfill the scientific thirst of my friends with the help of other members and teachers. The main activities of the science club during this year will be as follows: 1. Information through news letter: We have planned to release monthly news letter. It will constitute of national and international developments in the field of science along with information and informal question corner, puzzles and interesting Do it Yourself . It will also have health page, environment page, Math page etc. 2. Information through bulletin board: A bulletin board had been put up. Thanks to our leading teacher in charge Mr. Mohamed Nafiz. It will be used to propagate information about one scientist every week. The articles will throw light on the discoveries, life and other interesting facts. The bulletin board also serves as a media for announcing various activities of science club and for quenching the thirst of students. We hope the students will try to make use of it. 3. Group activities: We have planned to have group activities once in a week for each grade. 4. Competitions: Every month there will be a group or individual competition. The rules and regulations and dates for the competitions will be informed duly. 5. Observing important days related to science: We will try to observe most of the important days which have been crucial in the history of science to

    commend discoveries, theories and lives of the scientists by the grace of whose brains we are able to lead a comfortable life today. 6. So we have whole host of activities to keep you interesting, lively, entertaining and educative. Lastly, though but most heartily, I thank everyone.
