Degree Attestation
Requirements for Degree Attestation Printout of Application Form of the same day. Original SSC, HSSC, Bachelor Degree and Onwards along with Result cards/ DMCs/ Transcripts. Set of Photocopies of Above listed documents for HEC record. Copy of Computerized National Identity Card/ Passport (in case of Foreign Nationals). Equivalence of HEC in case of Bachelor or Master Degree, etc. from abroad or Deeni Asnaad. In case a degree has not been issued, the Detailed Marks Certificate/Transcript can be attested provided: Verification letter from the Controller of Examinations of the concerned university is attached. The applicant has passed degree programme within the three years from the date of commencement of examination. In case application is being submitted by a person other than the degree holder, the following documents are required: Authority letter duly attested by a Grade 17 officer for the authorized person. Copy of the Computerized Identity Card of the Authorized person. For attestation of Shahadatul Almiya fil uloomm al Arabia wal Islamia please enter particulars of Middle, Aama, Khasa in the online application form and attach equivalence given by HEC. For attestation of Equivalence letter issued by HEC, attach original Equivalence letter along with attested copies of all documents. For the attestation of "CPSP Fellowship/Membership" certificate get it verified from the controller of examinations of CPSP before submitting to HEC. Note: HEC attests original documents first then photocopies. No request for the attestation of photocopies would be entertained With-out the attestation of original documents.

1. Procedure for Attestation and Application Process for Walk in Applicants

a) Fill out the Online Application Form and take a print, preferably before coming to HEC Islamabad. b) Reserve your time for attestation while filling in the online application form. c) Attach all required documents including: I. Receipt of payment of Attestation Fee

II. Original certificates/degrees from Matric onwards along with transcripts of degrees. III. Photocopies of certificates and degrees from Matric onwards (for HEC record). IV. Equivalence of HEC in case of Bachelor or Master Degree, etc from abroad. V. Copy of Computerized National Identity Card. VI. In case a degree has not been issued, the Detailed Marks Certificate/Transcript can be attested provided: a) Verification letter from the Controller of Examinations of the concerned university is attached. b) The applicant has passed degree programme within the three years from the date of application. For applicants who have obtained Ph.D degree before 31. 05.2005: His/her name should be included in the HEC Ph.D Directory. Click here for PhD Directory. For applicants who were registered as Ph.D student before 31.05.2005 but were awarded degree after 31.05.2005.

2. Attestation Through OCS Courier Service Within Pakistan Only (w.e.f. 15 December 2010)

I. Fill out Online Application Form for Courier service and take a print out. II. Hand over the form alongwith required documents as detailed at Serial No. 1 to the OCS Express Centre.

Attestation Fee to be deposited in cash with OCS charges in the OCS Express Centre.

2- Does the HEC attest Matric and Intermediate Certificates? Ans: No, Matric and Intermediate Certificates are attested by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). 3- Do the degrees need verification of university before submission to the HEC for attestation? Ans: No, the degrees do not need verification from the university, for HEC attestation. 4- Does the HEC attest laminated degrees? Ans: No, laminated degrees cannot be attested. Before submission of degrees for attestation, these are required to be delaminated. 5- Does the HEC attest transcripts for incomplete studies? Ans: Yes, Transcripts for incomplete studies signed by the Controller of Exams of the respective university are attested. 6- Is it necessary for the applicant to come in person for attestation?

Ans: Enter only digits part of passport e.g. 783296. 12- Does the HEC collect documents for Australian High Commission?

INDIRECT ATTESTATION OF LOCAL DEGREES/TRANSCRIPTS THROUGH OCS COURIER SERVICES

This facility is only being provided through OCS Courier Services for only local customers who require getting their documents attested from HEC, Islamabad. Courier Company after attestation would be responsible for returning these documents back to the customers at their specified/given addresses with in a period of 15 days on following rates.
