    Read the poem several times and choose one of the language features (e.g. adjectives, similies, metaphors, onomatopoeia) that the poet used. Describe which language feature they used, giving examples from the poem, then explain why you think the poet chose to use them.

    Write your own poem


    Using the poem you chose as a starting point, write your own poem that has a similar theme, uses similar language features, or conveys the same emotions.
